Seven modules, one platform:the SuccessFactors full suite for a Singapore trade union federation
Seven integrated modules, 1,200+ employees, and every record migrated off a customized third-party SaaS HRMS without manual re-entry.
The platform had stopped keeping up
The federation — a network of professional associations and partners across all sectors of Singapore, helping workers of all collars, ages and nationalities toward better jobs and better wages — ran its HR operation on a heavily customized third-party SaaS HRMS. Self-service and cross-module integration were out of reach, and more than 1,200 employee records lived on the incumbent platform.
The key business challenges
Decentralized, customized data. Data was decentralized across cross-module processes, on an HRMS that had been customized heavily and in an unstructured way.
DataControl and governance. Full control over the system was expected rather than a vendor’s SaaS model, particularly where confidential data was concerned.
GovernanceMigration without re-entry. Existing employee data had to be migrated as it stood — without manual intervention — while moving to consistent processes at lower administrative cost.
MigrationThe federation needed a global solution under its own control — with every record carried over untouched.
One connected suite, with the data carried over
VISCAP approached the engagement across three connected transformation areas — each one slides over the last as you scroll.
Implement the full suite
Seven modules were implemented as one connected suite, with SuccessFactors cross-module integrations highly utilized to give a robust solution — a consultative approach applied to each business process.
Migrate the master data
SAP’s standard InfoPorter solution migrated existing employee master data into SuccessFactors — answering the requirement that nothing be re-keyed by hand.
A multi-hatter review mechanism was configured in PMGM, defining the cross-module role in Employee Central.
Integrate the landscape
Integration with SAP S/4 Payroll and multiple other applications was delivered over SAP CPI, with data monitoring facilities alongside.
Implemented in 12 months with 3 months of hyper-care — the phased schedule the customer suggested, to fit their internal roadmap.
A connected business technology environment
From a customized SaaS HRMS to a full suite under the federation’s own control — one connected path.
Business impact
The most visible result: seven modules live as one suite, with every record migrated and nothing re-keyed by hand.
A better employee experience
A fresh UI, hassle-free leave management, and simplified learning with advanced materials and a feedback system.
Real-time management insight
Managers see the entire workforce in real time, with proactive alerts keeping processes on track and a quantifiable performance system underneath.
Data under the federation’s control
Consistent processes at lower administrative cost — with confidential data held by the client rather than a vendor’s SaaS model.
More than a platform swap
The federation moved from a heavily customized third-party SaaS HRMS to seven SuccessFactors modules working as one connected suite — implementation, InfoPorter data migration and CPI integration delivered within one program, on the schedule the customer set.
Seven modules as one suite
Employee Central, PMGM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, Compensation and Succession were implemented with cross-module integration used throughout.
Every record carried over
SAP’s standard InfoPorter solution migrated existing employee master data into SuccessFactors — 1,200+ records moved with nothing re-keyed by hand.
Integrated, and under the federation’s control
SAP S/4 Payroll and surrounding applications were connected over CPI with data monitoring alongside — confidential data now held by the federation, not a vendor.
An HR platform that works as well for the people running it as for the members it exists to serve.
